Torey S. Hinkson

Torey S. Hinkson is President and Owner of First Choice Business Brokers Peachtree, bringing the experience of a career investment banker to Georgia’s lower middle market. He has 20 years of institutional M&A experience, executing transactions representing billions of dollars in aggregate transaction value, and he applies that same rigor to helping Georgia business owners navigate successful exits.

Torey began his career as an infantry officer in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the leadership, discipline, and strategic planning capabilities that define his approach today. That foundation, combined with two decades of complex deal execution, gives him the ability to simplify the transaction process for business owners while maintaining the attention to detail that protects value and manages risk.

By combining hands-on transaction experience with First Choice Business Brokers’ established platform, buyer network, and 30-plus-year track record, Torey delivers a level of service typically reserved for much larger transactions. Georgia business owners work directly with an experienced M&A professional, backed by the systems and reach of a national platform.

Torey has advised sellers across building products, residential services, transportation and logistics, industrials, and aerospace, defense and government services. His work spans founder-owned and multi-generation family businesses, franchisees, management-owned companies, and ESOPs, along with private equity portfolio companies and publicly traded corporations, giving him insight into the dynamics each ownership structure brings to a transaction, whether that is family succession, franchise transfer requirements, or a founder’s exit.

Torey guides clients through every stage of the transaction, from planning and valuation through buyer outreach, negotiation, diligence, and closing, translating complex deal mechanics into clear decisions at each stage.

Torey holds an MBA from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Science from the United States Naval Academy. He resides in Fayette County with his wife and two teenage boys. Outside of work, he attends his sons’ sporting and musical events, grills for family and friends, and follows college and professional athletics.
